| Connex Credit Union starts selling insurance Posted: 28 Nov 2010 12:27 PM PST NORTH HAVEN — Connex Credit Union has begun selling property and casualty insurance products through Connex Insurance Services, which are available to members of the credit union and non-members. Connex officials said the credit union helps consumers choose insurance coverage by screening various plans, providing quotes and offering guidance. Connex Insurance Services offers: homeowners insurance, renters insurance, auto insurance, motorcyle/boat/RV insurance, pet insurance, umbrella liability insurance, business insurance, business owner policy insurance, and workers' compensation. The insurance products and services are offered through a partnership with Southwest Business Corp., headquartered in San Antonio. Connex does not own or operate the corporation. "We understand that shopping for insurance can be frustrating and time consuming. When it comes to insurance, there are many products and companies to choose from," Tansley Stearns, vice president of sales and service at Connex, said in a statement. "Not only do we offer insurance services to Connex members, but non-Connex members are also eligible for the great rates and options through Connex Insurance Services."
